Greenwich is located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour and is within 5 Kilometres of the CBD of Sydney. It is bounded by the Pacific Highway to the North the North Shore Railway to the East, Lane Cove Golf Course to the West and is predominantly surrounded by the Lane Cove River and Sydney Harbour to the South.
Greenwich has a population of approximately 5000 people with an average age of around 40 years.
It has a village like atmosphere and is generally considered a very pleasant and quiet place to live. There is a mixture of single dwellings, units and townhouses with an office strip along the Pacific Highway and local retail facilities on Greenwich Road.

Larger supermarkets and a wider selection of retail shopping is located at Lane Cove about 4 kilometres to the west or at Crows Nest about 3 Kilometres to the east.
